The Great Reno Balloon Race

Saturday morning we all got up WAY before the sun came up. Why would we do such a crazy thing? To watch our favorite annual event: The Great Reno Balloon Race! We were down on the field by 5am, just in time for the glow show. It is such an amazing sight! Once the sun came up we managed to come across our friends, the Langdon's in the sea of thousands of people and hundreds of balloons.

If you notice, there are little lights hanging from the balloons that took off before sunrise. Jack was very upset and concerned that the balloons were taking the stars from the sky with them. :)

We also got to watch about 6 hot air balloons land at the park near our house on Friday morning. That was a lot of fun too.

Labor Day Weekend

We had a very busy weekend. On Saturday we went to one of our favorite events, The Best in the West Rib Cookoff. We met Ashleigh, Eric & Griffin and fought the crowds and it was well worth it. There were also a ton of rides for the kids. Jack rode a spinning dinosaur with Daddy and of course the train at least 3 times.

Then the boys and I went to a birthday party while Daddy stayed home and got to do his draft for fanasy football without any 'help' from our little helpers. Jack did a great job playing with all of the other kids, so far we are very happy with the results of preschool. He is really starting to come out of his shell.

On Sunday we got a visit from Na and Pa. They stayed the night and played all day and all night and most of the day on Monday. We had lots of fun playing baseball, trains, cars and legos.
