Baby Evie

We are happy to announce the newest addition to the family. Kristin's brother Matt and his wife Jessica welcomed their daughter (our niece) Evangeline Rae on August 14th. She was born almost 2 weeks early, so she was a teeny tiny little bundle of joy. 5 pounds, 7 ounces and 18 inches long.

Evie & Auntie Kristin. Her onesie says 'My Auntie is the Best'. She is brilliant already :)

Cooper was so excited to meet his new cousin. He was very sweet with her, wanting to hold and kiss her.

The beautiful new family. Matt is quite the proud papa!

A Day at the Lake

Thursday we took a drive up to Zephyr Cove and spent the afternoon. It was great! We escaped the 100 degree weather in Reno and we all had a blast. By the end of the day, Jack was splashing around in the water and even running through the sand. This is the boy who has to wear socks and tennis shoes to the beach because he completely freaks out if he feels even the tiniest grain of sand. Wayne and I couldn't believe what we were seeing. Waves were splashing him in the face and he was loving every minute of it. All it took was a little bit of jealousy to get him in the water. Wayne took Ben out into the water and he was squealing with excitement. Jack saw how much fun his brother was having and that was all he needed to get up the courage to get in the water.

Ben loves being in the water.

This is pretty fun stuff!

If Ben can do it, so can I! This isn't so scary after all.

Gone fishing

Little man Jack loves to go fishing! He's pretty disappointed that he hasn't caught any fish yet. Probably has something to do with the fact that:
a) his fishing line doesn't even have a hook, and
b) he throws tons and tons of rocks directly into the area where he is trying to catch fish. Go figure.

He loves to cast and reel, cast and reel, cast and reel. He's actually pretty good at it.

Scoping out the marina and looking at the baby fish.

Doing what little boys do best.

4 Years Old!

I've gotten behind on the blog again......Jack celebrated his 4th birthday at the end of July. He thinks he's pretty hot stuff now that he is a '4 years old boy'. We had a pirate themed birthday party with a treasure hunt led by Daddy and a super cool pirate ship birthday cake courtesy of Mommy & Auntie Mindy (mostly Auntie Mindy).
