Mom's Photography Class

So I signed up for a 3 week photography course offered by the community college in Reno: How to Photograph Your Children. The 2nd week of the class, we got to photograph our kids at the instructor's studio. Surprisingly, I was able to get a couple of good pictures of Jack. He was running around the room like an absolute wild man the entire time. Not exactly what I had envisioned when I signed up for the class :)
At least I am learning a lot and maybe one day I will be able to take a good picture of both of my boys in the same frame....while they are still little....

Memorial Day Weekend

Ben FINALLY got a haircut. Look at those beautiful, big brown eyes. So handsome.
Wayne worked on Sunday & Monday, so we couldn't camp with friends the whole weekend. We took the boys up to Frenchman's Lake and spent the day.

Jack and Chloe chillin at the campsite.

Jack got to go on his first ever boat ride. He LOVED it! He's in the middle of a babe sandwich with his two favorite girls, Sydney & Chloe.

Here's our little pigpen. This boy could sit in the sand/dirt all day and be happy as a clam. He was pouring sand on his head and laughing histerically. We tried our best to keep him from eating the sand, but as you can see it didn't work very well. He was even dipping his food in the sand and then eating it. Yuck!
We laugh about the huge difference between the two boys when it comes to being dirty. Jack is our Mr. Clean. When we take him to the beach, we put socks and shoes on him and one of us ends up carrying him anyway because he can't stand to have even a grain of sand in his shoes. He completely freaks out and can't even walk normally. Now, Ben on the other hand tries to get as dirty as possible and loves every minute of it. Too funny!

Reno Aces!

Reno has a new Triple A baseball team, The Reno Aces. They are the minor league team for the Arizona Diamondbacks. We went to our first game a couple of weeks ago. We had a blast. We met some friends and sat in the cheap seats, the outfield grass. We hope to make it to a few more games this year. The boys loved it and we did too.
During the 7th inning stretch, the giant baseball appeared from behind the wall and sang 'Take Me Out to the Ball Game'. Here are Jack and Owen dancing during the 7th inning stretch. We had to leave shortly after that because Ben was ready for bed.

Pretty good view of the game.

Katie being a good sport and posing for the camera as Jack was taking millions of pictures.

Owen, Kelly and the baby bump

Jack loved his John Olerud style baseball hat. He wore it most of the night.
