Tahoe

Today we went to Tahoe City with our friends from playgroup. There is one token girl in the group and her mommy is a firefighter in the Lake Tahoe area. She gave us a tour and demonstration. The boys were all so excited to play on the fire engines and squirt the hose! After we finished at the firestation, we had a picnic and played at the park. It was a gorgeous fall day.

Pumpkin Patch

We took advantage of the beautiful weather yesterday and went to the pumpkin patch. We went on a hay ride and picked our pumpkins. Jack really liked the funky looking gourds - he even named one certain type the "birthday pumpkin".
This was the second trip to the pumpkin patch this year. Jack went with his preschool class about a week ago. Ben and I went as chaperones.

Ben really enjoyed the hay ride. He likes hay. I took a ton of pictures of him sitting in the middle of all the pumpkins, but he wouldn't look up. He just wanted to pick up as much hay as he possibly could.

Ben's 6 month pictures

Ben is still working on getting his bottom teeth, which is why he's sucking on his bottom lip in most of the pictures. Poor guy, it seems like they are taking forever to come in. He is a very happy little boy. He is doing a great job at sitting up. He loves his big brother - watches him like a hawk and squeals in excitement whenever Jack is nearby.

Ben has also recently discovered the fine art of thumb sucking. At first, he would suck either thumb but in the past couple of days he has decided that he likes his right thumb best. This has made for a tremendous improvement in getting him to stay asleep at naptime and bedtime.

Don't mess with me, I know Curradi Family BBQ

It was a short, but sweet weekend. Sunday was a perfect day for a family barbeque. Matt and Jessica even came up from Long Beach! After the barbeque, we visited Mindy, Jeremy, Hannah & Cole. Cole has grown so much, he's passed Ben in weight (the height was hard to tell with the curled up legs). Saturday afternoon we went to Owen Privett's first birthday party. Later that night, Wayne and I got to have a hot date. We left the boys at Na and Pa's house and we went to Ruth's Chris for dinner. It was long overdue and so, so, so, so good! Thank you Jimmy for setting everything up - you are the best!

Hum Baby Dodgers!

Poor Jack is so confused when it comes to which baseball team to root for. You see, his dad is a Dodger fan and his mom is a Giants fan. Neither one of us will let him cheer for the wrong team. So you hear him running through the house saying "Hum Baby Dodgers!"

He's been sporting the nice Dodgers jersey that Grandma & Grandpa Monson got for him and he has a hat that matches his Daddy's. I wouldn't let him wear it, except that it is so stinking cute.

Trains

It's been a while since I've updated the website. Here are some pictures of our trip to Old Town Sacramento and the train ride we took. We went with Nana and Auntie Jen and cousin Cooper. Coop wasn't a big fan of the train and Jack loved every minute of it. After the train ride, we let the boys run around in the grass for a bit. They had tons of fun throwing grass at each other, wrestling and bumping bellies.
