Newport Beach weekend getaway

Wayne & I got to go to Newport Beach for our first kid-free weekend at the end of June. We had a wonderful time. The boys were in great hands with Grandma & Grandpa Monson.
We were brought to Newport for the wedding of Wayne's good friend, Scott (Moosh) and Elisa. It was a beautiful wedding and we both had tons of fun! Here are some pictures - once again in the wrong order. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong or how to fix it...

Too bad we never ended up taking a 'normal' picture so that there is evidence that we clean up well :)

Hanging out at Grandma & Grandpa's house. One of Ben's new favorite things to do is climb onto my back and rest his little head. Such a sweet boy.

We took the boys for a hike and quickly discovered that we weren't able to go very far with a young hiker. This was the first time that Jack had to walk on his own and he wasn't very happy about his brother taking over the cozy backpack. It took us quite a while to get around the lake to the bottom of the falls because Jack had to stop and pick every single dandilion along the way. We had lots of fun.

Mommy & her boys saying hello to the bears.

Benjamin enjoying the trolley.
Jack riding the trolley (or chraw-ry as Jack calls it) with Grandma. I think the trolley was the highlight of the trip for Jack (oh, and of course going fishing with Grandpa Butch). One day Jack & I spent the entire afternoon riding the trolley all around the lakes and then took the other trolley through town.

Jack's ready for us to load Ben into the backpack!

Ben's enjoying his first lollipop at the parade. Jack was so sweet to share with his baby brother.

Patiently waiting for the parade to begin.

Happy 4th of July!
