Company and Preschool

Grandma Ava and Grandpa Butch came to visit us for the weekend and Auntie Mindy, Uncle Jeremy, and cousins Hannah & Cole came up for the day on Sunday. We bounced around the bounce house a little and enjoyed some yummy cupcakes. Jack & Hannah had fun licking all of the sprinkles off of the frosting and then re-applying the sprinkles and licking those off.

Jack had his first day of pre-school today. He did well but had a bit of a hard time being away from Mommy & Daddy. Mommy had an especially hard time being away from Jack. It was a long 4 hours, but Ben kept Mommy plenty busy while Daddy and Grandpa Butch enjoyed a round of golf.

To make things go smoothly in the morning, I ask Jack if he wants me to comb his hair like a pirate and give him 'pirate hair'. That means I spike it up on the top and try to tame the rest of the cowlicks all over his head. So this morning he told me that he didn't want pirate hair, he wanted school bus hair. I wasn't sure what that meant, so I went with the messy look since it ends up that way anyway. Well, when we went to brush his teeth he saw that his hair was not styled in the school bus fashion and was quite upset. So I had to try to tame it and leave the front spiked up a little. Then he informed me that it still didn't look like school bus hair. So I combed it nice and neat, off to the side and that was sufficient. So in the first picture he has pirate hair and the second picture he has school bus hair (you'll notice that by the time we got to school it had already been messed up and is standing straight up in the air). What a crack up!

Here is Jack arriving at school with his little buddy Chloe. Are they not the cutest things that you ever have seen? I can't believe my baby is old enough to go to pre-school, this is all happening too fast!

I love the "school bus hair" that is so funny!! Noah is going through only wanting to wear "basketball" shorts & shirts. If there aren't any clean he will go in the hamper and pull out dirty ones. he's killin' me. he also has the hair thing, none of my other kids did but he hates when he gets out of bath and it's "curly" he says. So i must comb it all down smooth and flat to his head. he's funny. Jack is too cute little missy!

Kristin, my eyes welled up with tears reading this. We are thinking of starting to take JT part time also when he turns 3 in April. I don't know if I am ready!
