Biker Dude

Well, it took all summer to convince him that he was ready to ride his bike without training wheels.  But he did it!  We took him to the parking lot of his elementary school because it is nice and flat and didn’t have many cars.  Our street is just too hard to learn on because of the hills.

It took all of about an hour with the training wheels off (of which 1/2 of it was spent complaining about one thing or another and telling us all about how he couldn’t do it).  All it took was a little good, old-fashioned bribery.  I told him if he just tried it one more time, I would let him have some ice cream after lunch.

And Ben had fun practicing riding his tricycle and pretending to be all sorts of different animals.
